In the United States, the searches people make for a real estate agent add up to about 332,000 a month, and advertisers bid $3.78 to $18.81 to show at the top of Google for them. 02What customers type, and what to block

Google measured the three searches a customer of a real estate agent types when ready to hire:

real estate agent near me · realtor near me · real estate agent

Searches with these words in them cost the same and rarely become a client, so block them from the first day:

real estate license · real estate school · realtor salary · agent jobs · how to become a realtor · real estate exam

04What works for real estate agents

A good enquiry: someone in your area planning to sell or buy in the next few months, with a home or a budget in mind.

Rules to know: In the United States and Canada, Google does not let housing ads be aimed by age, gender, parental or marital status, or ZIP or postal code; aim by area instead.
